Where an integral conversion of a luminaire is not practical, the inverter module can be housed within a specially designed enclosure for remote mounting, which is supplied complete with a colour coded loom for wiring to the associated luminaire. The Lite-Plan LCB inverter module range incorporates the proven reliable LP.CB inverter technology together with the 5 pole relay technology of the Lite-Plan HRN ranges. A four pole changeover relay gives total isolation of the control gear in the event of a test or emergency situation, whilst the additional single pole relay, with built in time delay, disconnects the switched 240V AC supply to the electronic HF ballast, preventing ballast ‘shut down’ or failure. The LCB inverter module range is designed to be fully compatible with all types of HF and Switch start control gear used in association with 4 pin fluorescent lamps. Under normal mains healthy conditions the changeover relay is energised, allowing a through connection from the mains control gear to the lamp, giving full brightness during mains operation. An LED Indicator is also provided to show the presence of the central battery supply being healthy and available at the inverter terminals. When the unswitched 240v AC supply fails, the relay drops out and energises the inverter circuit and connects the lamp to the inverter terminals allowing a reduced brightness emergency operation from the central battery unit.
